Post Masters in Nursing Certificate for Nurse Educators
Further to meet the desires and needs of nurses who may have graduated from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited school of nursing and have a MSN in nursing administration or a Family Nurse Practitioner degree who are teaching we would offer a certificate in Nursing Education for Nurse Educators as post graduate work. This would consist of 9 hours of nurse educator course work, namely MNUR 611 Educational Pedagogy; MNUR 612 Curriculum Development in Nursing Education; MNUR 614 Evaluation in Nursing Education, and MNUR 621 Teaching Practicum (6 credits) for a total of 15 credit hours.

Post Masters in Nursing Certificate for Nursing Administrators
To meet the need of the students who are presently enrolled in the educational track who would like a post graduate certificate in nursing administration, we propose to offer 4 courses to be taken after graduation from the nurse educator track. This would include 9 hours of nurse administrative classes: MNUR 615 Health Care Organization and Delivery (3 credits); MNUR 616 Health Care financing, budgeting and human resources (3 credits); MNUR 617 Ethical, legal and regulatory issues in the health care organization (3 credits); and MNUR 622 Practicum for nurse administrators (6 credits).
