Russia Program
Spend a semester in one of the cultural centers of Europe: St. Petersburg, Russia. St. Petersburg is the home of Nicholas and Alexander—the last imperial family of Tsarist Russia. A city made famous by Peter the Great, it is a cultural center for the arts and music—the most famous of which is probably The Hermitage—one of the world's greatest art museums.
Winston Churchill called Russia a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.
Maybe he was right. In order to unlock the mystery, you need to experience Russia for yourself. You must breathe in the incense that hangs in the air of Orthodox Churches. Experience the eeriness of Lenin's tomb. Savor rich, creamy borsht and feel the rumble of Moscow's subway trains. Sample the mystery firsthand.
You will stay at Saint Petersburg Christian University with a student life similar to most Christian colleges, you will be able to attend chapel, study Russian language, and get to know other Christians from Russia.
There will be four chapels each week and a Bible study group. There are quite a few churches around the campus in which you will receive a warm welcome and fellowship. You will have the opportunity to participate in their choir and other activities.
You can receive more information about the Russia program offered each fall by coming to the Semester Abroad office in AC414.
