After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry from Taylor University, Upland, I moved home to Mishawaka, Indiana. I am a writing student at Bethel College. I also work at Noah's Ark Daycare in Osceola as a teacher and a curriculum consultant. In July 2003, I completed a 36-week faith-based curriculum called Getting to Know God for use in daycare ministries, three- to five-year-old classes. I also wrote an 8-week program called God's Team, My Team for school-age children.
I won the Bethel Grace P. Pettifor Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Writing in both 2003 and 2004 and have published a piece on preschool education in the South Bend Tribune entitled "Play: It's Not Just for Fun Anymore." I enjoy writing humor pieces and poetry and hope to one day write children's literature. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, oil painting, hiking and babysitting for my young friends.
