Every year the Bethel College Mathematics Department holds the Blaise Pascal High School Mathematics Competition. This competition is one of only two competitions offered by institutions of higher learning for Michiana area high school students. The competition combines standard mathematics contest problems with several history of mathematics questions. Each school may bring up to 20 students to the competition. Home school students are encouraged to register individually or as a group. Individual and team awards will be given (see Competition Rules), some of which include substantial scholarship money. In addition, the college will conduct several random drawings among registered students for prizes, including iTunes gift cards.
Please note: Homeschool students are welcome to participate. Please simply download and fill out a registration form, indicating that the student registering is a homeschool student. For purposes of team scores, all homeschool students will be grouped together as one school.
2010 Blaise Pascal Competition
Due to a low number of registrations for the competition this year, the 2010 Blaise Pascal Math Competition has been cancelled. Details concerning the competition next year will be posted by April 2011. We apologize that it will not be able to run this year. Thanks for your interest in the competition!
