Louise Solak received her BSN from Valparaiso University and her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Community Health Focus from St. Xavier University in Chicago. At Bethel, she co-ordinates the BSN-Completion program and teaches Community Health, Nursing Research, Transition to Professional Nursing and Nursing Management.
She has previous teaching experience at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky and at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She has been employed as a home health care nurse, a hospital based nurse educator and staff nurse on an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit. She currently works as the PPS Co-coordinator for the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Louise is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, The Association of Community Health Educators and a certified AHA CPR instructor. Louise serves on the Board of the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen. She and her husband have two sons.
