Rebecca received her Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing-Completion Degree, and a Master in Nursing Education Degree from Bethel College. She completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Southern Indiana. Her research focused on end-of-life care for the Amish and her capstone was titled “Old Order Amish Hospice Nursing Plans and Care Strategies”. Rebecca has worked as a community health nurse specializing in hospice and home health; has been a director of nursing on an inpatient hospital acute rehabilitation unit; a staff nurse; and, a Prospective Payment System Coordinator.
Rebecca is the Community Health Coordinator and teaches in the BSN, BSN-C, and the Masters programs at Bethel College. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nu Omicron at Large Chapter, ISNA/ANA, Rural Health Nurses Organization, and the Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives.
Rebecca is active in her church and community and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Elkhart Area Career Center. She is devoted to her family and granddaughters enjoying their sewing and baking get-togethers. Rebecca is an avid gardener.
