Sally Erdel received an AA in Bible from Ft. Wayne Bible College, a Diploma in Nursing from West Suburban Hospital School of Nursing and the BSN and MS from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to coming to Bethel in 1994, Mrs. Erdel served six years in Jamaica with World Partners of the Missionary Church. She is a member of St. Mark Missionary Church.
Mrs. Erdel currently teaches courses in the ADN, BSN, RN-BSN, and MSN programs. She became a Certified Nurse Educator in 2006. She recently developed an online elective course on Spiritual Care and Health Care. She has participated on task force teams to Jamaica, Mississippi, the Dominican Republic, and Ecuador, and serves as an advisor for the Students for Life group. Her favorite courses are International Health, Nursing Fundamentals, and Nursing Management.
Professional activities include membership in Sigma Theta Tau, ISNA/ANA, NLN, the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity, and Nurses Christian Fellowship, among others. She serves as a program evaluator for the NLNAC, and as an alternate member of the NLNAC Evaluation Review Panels.
Her husband Timothy also teaches at Bethel. Sarah Beth (Matthew), grandson Lewis "Jack," Rachel (Peter), and Matthew bring them great joy.
