The Genesians' Motto: Be proud enough to give nothing but your best, but be humble enough to give that best for one person.
The Genesians are Bethel College’s touring acting company. Our mission is that of bettering the community through the medium of theatre. We have been actively performing for the last 45 years with over 1,000 performances at churches, schools, and other organizations throughout the United States and Canada.
This year it would be our pleasure to visit your school with the popular musical Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type! This is a delightful musical adaptation from the picture book by Doreen Cronin and illustrated by Betsy Lewin.
At the start of the play we find that Farmer Brown has a problem: his cows like to type. It seems that the animals are not pleased with the conditions of the barn. They decide that since Farmer Brown can't understand what they are asking, they will type out their demands on an old typewriter found in the barn. Hilarity ensues when Farmer Brown turns down their requests so they must find other ways to get their demands understood.
This musical is fun for all ages. It has even been used for discussion in high school government classes as the cows must come up with non-violent ways to gain their rights!
Contact us as soon as possible to reserve a date for the 2012-2013 school year. We will be available for weekday engagements after the first of the year through the middle of April. Of course there are student breaks and other complications throughout the semester, so please have a few dates available when you contact us. We will consider any time from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening shows are also periodically available; in fact, this would be great for a special reading week.
If a performance will not work out for us to come to your school we will also be having a performance at Bethel College on March 19th at 10:00 A.M. in the Everest Rohrer Auditorium. Tickets for this event are just $5 each and can be reserved by calling our box office Monday – Friday from 1-5 p.m. at 574-807-7080.
