Mission Statement

The mission of Bethel College Theatre Arts Department is rooted within the Christian and liberal arts traditions to prepare students for further study and/or work in the theatre as a professional career and/or ministry. The program instills students with knowledge of theatre history, an understanding of the place of theatre within a Christian world view, and a practical, professional approach to the preparation and presentation of a theatrical production.

Call the Theatre Office to schedule an audition time at 574.807.7747, or email franklb@bethelcollege.edu, and to let us know if you need an accompanist.

Please make every effort to choose one of the above dates. In the event that none of them work we will be glad to set up a special audition time with you. We are also available to do an audition, show weekends and Pilot Preview Days.

Student Opportunities

Major or minor? Whether you want to make theatre your emphasis in college or study it to support your major, we welcome anyone who has serious interest in theatre. We are working with all majors on campus to make it possible for you to be a successful student involved in the arts. Faculty Who Mentor and Teach

The theatre arts faculty and staff have come to Bethel College with multiple professional credits and many years of college-teaching experience. Their professional backgrounds include acting, designing, directing, stage management and playwrighting. Their critiques, individual instruction and mentoring will guide your development as an artist throughout your time at Bethel.
