Consortium Information
Bethel College students may take courses at cooperating area colleges and universities (Goshen College, Holy Cross College, Indiana University, South Bend, Ivy Tech Community College, Saint Mary’s College) under the following conditions:
- The course is not available at Bethel and is needed immediately to meet graduation requirements.
- All avenues for taking the course at Bethel have been exhausted.
Registration Procedure for Bethel Students
- Register for the class on a Bethel Registration form, using Bethel course title and numbers. Designate the school where the course will be taken on the form.
- Fill out consortium form and obtain the following signatures from Bethel:
- Division Chairperson (Chairperson that would normally oversee this course at Bethel)
- Dean of Academic Affairs.
- Registrar’s signature. (This should be the last signature at Bethel you obtain)
- The Registrar will keep the white copy.
- After all three signatures are obtained, remove the back hard copy. This is your Parking Permit at the host school. You will not need to purchase one from the host school. Put the card in your car window.
- Take the blue and yellow copies to the first day of class at the host school. You will not be allowed to pre-register for this class. If there is room for you on the first day of class, you will be allowed to take the class. Have the Professor of the class, sign the form.
- Take the blue and yellow copies to the Registrar of the host school. Host Registrar will keep the blue copy and will send the yellow copy back to Bethel. Your registration will be complete when the yellow copy is returned to Bethel from the host Registrar.
