Overview
The Goals of the School of Arts and Sciences are that students shall possess:
- A knowledge of the representative achievements in selected areas of the fine arts.
- A developing skill in the technique of a major performance area.
- An appreciation of the arts as a cultural influence.
- Poise developed through participation in fine arts activities.
- A knowledge of the art forms used in worship
Mathematics Mission Statement
The purpose of the program in mathematics is to prepare the student with broad competency in geometry, differential and integral calculus, statistics, algebra and analysis, as well as in-depth competency in algebra and analysis. The program seeks to emphasize the basic processes of mathematical thinking: the ability to read and understand mathematical statements, make and judge the validity of arguments, and solve problems both individually and cooperatively.
