Mission Statement
Because of the high value of language-related skills in the local and global marketplace, as well as within the Church, the mission of the Bethel College department of Modern Language Studies is to:
- Provide graduates of our language learning programs with demonstrably advanced spoken, written, cultural, and literary proficiency in the languages we offer.
- In conjunction with the Bethel College School of Education, provide graduates of our language education programs with theoretical knowledge of, and practical experience with, current best practice approaches for facilitating language learning.
- Provide graduates with the skills and knowledge to further pursue graduate education or careers in language-related fields.
