Home School Students

Bethel College has been recognized as a home school friendly college. Many home school students have found Bethel to be a great place to continue their education. Currently, more than 8% of our undergrads graduated from a home school setting.

Submit the Following Items to Apply for Admission

NOTE: All students age 25 and over need to apply through adult programs.

  1. Application for undergraduate admission (choose one of the following)
  2. A $25 non-refundable application fee
    • Fee waived for online applications
  3. Transcript of course work
    • Should include
      • A summary of all courses (curriculum list, bibliography)
      • Title of each course
      • Grade recieved
    • Include a cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
    • Must be signed by a primary instructor
    • Admitted students must submit a final transcript indicating date of graduation
    • A sample Home School transcript template is available for your use
    • A “certified” transcript from an agency/organization is not required
  4. Official transscripts of any college course work completed
  5. An official copy of your ACT and/or SAT scores
  6. Personal reference form
    • From a pastor, primary instructor or employer (someone not related to you)
  7. Personal Statement (300-400 words) on one or more of the following topics (e-mail MS Word document)
    • Your academic ambitions
    • Your career objectives
    • Your statement of faith or ministry goals
    • Your reason for applying to Bethel College

After you Apply

Upon submission of the application your admission counselor will guide you through the admission process. When all of the materials listed above have been received, a decision on your admission to Bethel College will be made. You will be notified of your admission status by mail, usually within three weeks of completing your file.

All accepted students are considered for academic scholarships. Award recipients will be notified within two weeks of being admitted to Bethel.
