Honoring the Legacy of Father Hesburgh

The Bethel community joins the University of Notre Dame in mourning the loss of the Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, C.S.C. “It’s remarkable to think that the legacy of Father Hesburgh was nurtured and lived out just down the road from Bethel,” says President Gregg Chenoweth, Ph.D. “The contributions he made to our community, our country and our world are astounding and our campus has surely benefited from his influence.”

Bethel Community Participates in Collegiate Day of Prayer

On Thursday, Feb. 26, Bethel students, faculty and staff will join more than 3,000 colleges across the nation in participating in the annual Collegiate Day of Prayer. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the year that the American church agreed to hold special prayer meetings on behalf of our colleges and universities.

2014-15 Pride Points

Lynne Cary, Ph.D., program director of biotechnology and associate professor of biochemistry, helped launch Bethel’s new biotechnology certificate program (fall 2014). Previously at Notre Dame, she came in 2004 to start a program focused on cancer research.
