Bethel Reaches Record High Enrollment
Bethel College enrollment is at an all-time high for the fall 2009 semester at 2,163 students. It’s the college’s highest headcount enrollment since the previous record enrollment of 2,097 in 2007.
“We are so excited about educating more students than ever before — students who will use what they learn academically and spiritually to impact the world around them,” says President Steve Cramer, Ph.D. (’75).
Several factors contributed to the enrollment growth this fall: transfer students increased by 28 percent, homeschooled graduates increased by 16 percent and REACH students doubled from last year. (REACH is a dual enrollment program for high school junior and senior students.)
In addition, more than 900 students are living on campus — also a record.
