Hello Alumni,

For those of you who have not heard, I regretfully pass along sorrowful news of former President Norman V. Bridges’ death. After a yearlong battle with cancer, he died on Aug. 21, at his Mishawaka, Ind., home. He was 72. His funeral service was held in the Rotunda of the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center on Aug. 25. He impacted my life and the lives of so many others in positive and memorable ways. We have chosen to dedicate this edition of the Alumni e-Newsletter to Dr. Bridges and his family. Please take a few minutes to read the reflections from several people who knew him well. I think you’ll be encouraged and blessed. For those that didn’t have the pleasure of knowing him, I believe you’ll come to realize that he was a man of great faith, purpose and influence. He will be missed!
