Who can participate in an Alumni Travel Program?
Bethel College alumni and friends are welcome to participate in the Alumni Travel Programs offered through Bethel. Whether you are an alumnus, donor, parent, or have a strong affinity to Bethel, you are encouraged to travel and connect with fellow affiliates of Bethel College.
Are children able to participate?
The majority of Alumni Travel Programs will support and include children 12 years and older. It is at the parent’s discretion to be responsible for their child during the duration of the trip. If you are interested in your child accompanying you, please follow up with the Alumni Office with questions or concerns.
What is the cost of an Alumni Travel Program?
The cost of an Alumni Travel Program varies depending on the location and year. Each travel program will specify the cost on its individual page.
What is included is the cost?
The Alumni Travel Programs are all-inclusive, comprised of meals, transportation during the trip and lodging. For international travel, round-trip economy class airfare will be in included from Chicago as well as transportation while abroad. All participants will be responsible for their transportation to the specific departure location, whether at Bethel College or the Chicago airport. How are Alumni Travel Programs locations selected?
Alumni Travel Program locations are chosen in a variety of ways. Whether based on an established relationship that Bethel has with an alumnus, the Missionary Church, World Partners, a short term missions organization, or a missionary known by the college, we select locations that are not only of alumni interest, but also provide an opportunity for a high level of service and impact both for participants and those we aim to serve.
How do I register for an Alumni Travel Program?
Register online at www.BethelCollege.edu/AlumniTravel and submit payment for program deposit. Once you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.
Payment schedules are specific to each travel program. As a general rule, program participants are responsible for a non-refundable deposit by the registration deadline and the two to three additional payments.
Refund Cancellation Policy
Written cancellations must be received in writing. If a participant chooses not to go, the travel program will refund the participant for any costs that have not yet been incurred. Check the travel program to see the specific refund cancellation policy. If you would like to further protect your investment, Travel Guard Insurance can be purchased through: Huckemeyer Insurance Service, HIS@bright.net, 419.586.7058.
