If you have ever wanted to know where to find the smallest car in the world…its definitely here! The smart car was created for city drivers and you see them all over here. I think they are hilarious, but a great idea, even though I am not sure how “smart” they are (even though that is there name) … If you get hit you dont have much protection!! I went for a spin in one with Falko, his parents own one, and are trying to convince him to get one as well. It is so small it feels like you are on a bike, haha! I took a few pics just so you get the idea.

Tomorrow I hop on the train and head to Witten to visit my friend Lilly. Can you believe it cost me 70 Euros just for the ticket? That is almost 100 dollars…train travel here is stinking expensive!

Well I have been in Germany for 4 days now, and it has been a blast. While in high school, we had 2 exchange students during my junior and senior year. We have stayed in contact and visited each other various times, which is awesome. While in Frankfurt, we have been seeing the city and visiting friends.

at the races

Today the weather was so nice, so we went to the horse races, but didn’t win any money of course.

Haha… Then we went to the river and ate lunch outside. When the world cup was here last year, people from all over came to Frankfurt and they had a huge projection screen floating in the river for people to watch the game from either side…CRAZY! Living in a big city has its advantages, one being public transportation, because gas here is 4.50 a gallon! I am counting down the days until Africa…I cannot wait!

I had an amazing experience during the first 9 weeks of my student teaching at Darden. My teacher, was amazing, and we connected instantly. I had a great group of kids, most of the time, hahaha, and it was so hard to say goodbye on Thursday. As one chapter closes, I know that an amazing journey lies ahead of me as I prepare to leave for Africa in just 10 days!!!

While at Bethel, I was able to work at Boys and Girls Club, both for summer and after school club. I was the art teacher and facilitated other programs and activites for the kids. It’s been a huge blessing and great experience, especially for teaching. Not to mention I had the best boss in the world!!!

Always time for a midnight snow burial!!!
