Take a Deep Breath
Phew! The months of November and December have been fun and intense! Lots of homework, tests, papers, and Christmas parties to attend. I am nervous for finals but so excited to go home. It’s strange how after Thanksgiving Break, you really just have 2 weeks and then finals… And then your semester is done! The first half of my freshman year has flown by!
This has been a really good time for me to reflect about the last couple of months. I love Bethel. I have grown so close to God since I’ve been here with classes and chapel. It’s been awesome to see what Spiritual Life has planned and how they really encourage a personal relationship with Christ but also the student body’s relationships with each other and getting HIS name out into the world. Freshman events, school socials, basketball and soccer games, everything that has been outside of school work has been so much fun!
As busy as I am and as crazy as this year has started, I know I can trust God to get me through it. Recently I’ve been reflecting on Romans 8:37-39. Nothing can keep me away from the love of the Lord Jesus Christ! Not people or papers or exams or drama! Jesus is always going to love me. So I’m taking a deep breath and inhaling his AGAPE <3 , and exhaling out all the negativity and stress!
What a great way to end 2008, with Him right there by my side!
