Sports and Fellowship
Last weekend, after our win against Spring Arbor, we all met for dinner. Aarons family decided to host the dinner at their house and it was a great time with some great food! After eating, we just hung out in his basement and played a bunch of games. Some guys played cornhole in the hallway, others played soccer on his Xbox, but most of the team stayed around the ping pong table. our soccer team should be known as the Bethel Ping-Pongers, because we have so many guys that get really competitive while playing. We actually have some really skilled players too! The winner of the game got to keep playing while the loser had to pass up the paddle. There was a pretty long line, and by the time I got to play, my opponent was already warmed up and I got destroyed!
Service day was cut short for many of us soccer players because we had a game on the same day, and we had to travel to Fort Wayne to play against Saint Francis. I still enjoyed the experience I had working at Goodwill, and I still felt that we made a difference even though we were there for under two hours. We ended up winning our game in extra time!
A large group of Bethel students went to the Lady Pilots soccer game. It was a great time. We were yelling all types of chants and cheers and making obnoxious amounts of noise. When they scored, we would jump around and yell, “OLE, OLE OLE OLE!” They ended up winning 4 – 1 and by the end of the game, I lost my voice from yelling so much!
I may or may not be attempting to bake some banana bread this weekend. Hopefully I don’t burn the place down!
Lastly, I was featured in Bethels international student news letter, and I gave a shout out to Bethel Blogs!
