Delving into a new hobby

The name of the game this week has been catching up.

I’ve been working on homework and projects, but it’s been good. I got a chance to show up at “the Commies,” which is Bethel’s Communication department’s version of the Emmies. There were internships showcased throughout the night, interspersed with submissions from the “awkward video contest.” The awkward videos were great, and it was fun time all around. Formal clothes, sparkling grape juice, and nervous tension (after all, it is an awkward video contest…) made the night!

Yesterday, I bought a new camera, so you can expect some new/better quality pictures in the near future! I went out this morning and spent an hour shooting, trying to get used to the settings. I have no photography experience, but it’s a lot of fun. I’ll get a chance to use it again tonight, because I’m writing a story for the Bethel Beacon (the school’s online news source) about the corn-hole tournament that will take place at the soccer game. Some photos are needed, so I agreed to shoot a few of the contest.

It’s been an enjoyable week. It’s fun to work hard at keeping up! :)
