Quick update.
Well, it’s that time of year when everyone is scrambling to finish up projects, write papers, and study for finals. I am no exception! I’ve been working mostly on a final paper for Communication Theory, which is turning out pretty well, so far. And, as always, finding time to hang out with friends.
This week, however, is a short week. I’m only here for Monday and Tuesday, and then classes are out, and I go home for Thanksgiving. This being the case, I made a short list of things I’m thankful for pertaining to Bethel.
1.) Christ-centered atmostphere. The people I’ve met at Bethel seem extremely genuine, and they take their faith seriously. I’ve always loved that about this place. I think it leads into my next point…
2.) Community mindset. Bethel feels so close-knit to me. I’ve felt so welcome, even by people I haven’t met yet. It’s a great feeling.
3.) Engaging classes. Classes are often very enjoyable as well as challenging. The things I learn actually play out in my life every day, and that’s important to me.
4.) Chapels. Three times a week, we get to hear God’s word and praise Him. Although I don’t feel like getting out of bed every Monday morning, I think the chapels really help us grow spiritually, as well as come closer to one another.
5.) The faculty and staff. From the professors to those who work in administrative offices to those who do janitorial work, I’ve found great examples of Christ’s love for us in the actions and work of everyone at Bethel.
This list could definitely go on. I thank God for all of these things. Have a happy thanksgiving, everyone! Don’t forget to thank the Lord for all He has done!
