There’s So Much To Be Thankful For.
It’s easy to forget to be thankful, especially during this time of the school year. Even though Thanksgiving is on its way, there are so many distractions and often unexpected situations that arise that cause one to complain and depreciate the value of life, education, sports, music, etc. You fill in the blank. I happen to be one of those people currently caught in this trap of negativity. I am not afraid to admit it but I want to, in some way, combat my pessimistic attitude by reminding myself of at least 30 things I am thankful for today. So here goes nothing (these are in no particular order)…I am thankful for…
- Breath
- The beauty of Bethel College.
- My family
- Pastors and friends at Nappanee Missionary Church
- Professors that extend grace
- Conversations that lead to confessions
- The truth of God’s Word
- Basketball–the ability to watch and to play
- Diet pepsi (it keeps me awake during the day)
- Photographs
- The gift of music and singing.
- “Teammates”
- Hope
- Clean water
- Children and innocence
- Clothes to wear on my back every day
- Laughter
- Good books
- My humanities project
- Education–the opportunity to learn and grow on many different levels
- Financial stability
