Winter at Bethel
I’m not a big fan of winter. However, Bethel has made my winters more enjoyable. We just got our first real snow, and with that came snowball fights with friends which is a lot of fun. I’m sure we will do lots of other fun things with snow once we get a good amount of it. The Bethel Christmas party was the other day which was fun too. Also we had a Christmas praise and worship chapels the other day, which was probably one of the best chapels of the year. Shawn, our worship leader, sang Christmas carols and also made some funny songs about Bethel.
Probably my two favorite memories of Bethel during winter so far were the Silent Night basketball game and Midnight breakfast. The silent night game was a lot of fun, and I got to wear my ugly Christmas sweater again! Midnight breakfast is a tradition at Bethel that is held before finals week. Along with getting breakfast food at midnight, we get to do other stuff, including a costume contest.
While I’m still not a fan of the coldness of winter, I am growing to enjoy the season more. All the fun activities at Bethel during winter are definitely helping me out!
