Vinyl and photography
So school is here, and I’m getting back into the full swing of things. It’s been nice to be back! Things will be a bit different this semester, as I am without my roommate from last semester, my brother. Though it’s a bit quieter in the dorm room without him, it is kinda nice to have a room to myself! I requested with my resident director that for this one semester I would have no replacement roommate, and he agreed.
The other night I invited a few close friends over during open dorms. We all listened to records on a new record player console I bought at a used furniture store. The record player was only $25, with speakers and all! It’s really cool. We played a wide variety of music, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Here is a picture I took of the record player spinning, and the dial to change the RPM of the vinyl you are playing:

I thought the shot turned out pretty nice! I even submitted it for a project in my Digital Photography class. I’m enjoying that class a ton already, and it’s only been a couple days! This one I grouped under the category “Pictures of sound.” It’s been a great start to the year so far!
