Encore!
Tonight we had a choir concert at Granger Missionary Church. It was a lovely concert, it went well, and the congregation was very welcoming. We also had four Steel Magnolias performances and strike this weekend. Because I was involved in both of those things, it was a good but very long weekend and I was very tired out by the end of the day today. By the time we got home to Bethel, off the choir bus and back to our apartment in Logan Village, I was not feeling well and I was struggling emotionally.
Thankfully, I have great friends who wouldn’t let me sulk by myself in my room. They took me to the Acorn and we met up with some people to play a game called Encore. It’s a singing game, and we had a blast. Our two teams ended up at a tie when we decided to call it quits.
I need those evenings in the Acorn; singing random songs and laughing with my best friends after a hard weekend. It’s friends like these and game nights like this that make the week of schoolwork that much more bearable.
