Application Process
All borrowers will be required to complete the following processes at the U.S. Department of Education Loan Portal listed above.
You will need your FAFSA PIN (not the student’s) in order to apply for your PLUS Loan.
- Complete PLUS Request Process (must be completed EACH school year)
- Sign PLUS (MPN) Master Promissory Note (if you didn’t complete for 2010-2011)
Calculating the Amount of Your PLUS Loan
On your student’s Financial Aid Award you will see a suggested PLUS loan amount for the school year. Using that amount as a reference, you can adjust the amount up or down as needed. We would recommend that you complete the Annual Cost Calculator to help you determine the amount of PLUS loan you may need to pay your bill.
The College will begin processing PLUS loans for the 2011-12 school year on or about June 1, 2011. Please complete the steps listed above prior to that date to ensure timely disbursement of your loan funds for the academic year.
