Scholarships and Awards
All new traditional, undergraduate students who are accepted to Bethel College will be considered by the scholarship committee and student financial services for the following awards based on their eligibility. All students seeking financial assistance from Bethel College must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial aid awards and policies are subject to change.
Bethel College merit awards range from $2,000-16,000. They are awarded to full-time undergraduate students and can be applied to direct tuition costs only. A student may not receive more than one academic scholarship/award in a given year. These awards may be used for a maximum of eight semesters of continuous full-time enrollment.
Bethel College Scholarship
Awarded based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Transfer student scholarships are determined by prior academic performance at an accredited college or university. A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is required to maintain the scholarship.
Bethel College Award
Awarded based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Transfer student awards are determined by prior academic performance at an accredited college or university. A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA is required to maintain the award.
Art, Music and Theatre Arts Awards
Awarded based on outstanding performance or achievement through an audition or portfolio review.
Students must apply for admission prior to audition.
Awarded in each varsity sport. Contact specific coach for details. Student must be accepted for admission to receive an award and must live on campus.
Dr. Billy Kirk Leadership Award
Awarded to incoming freshman minority students who live within the Midwest region. The award is based on student’s academic record, personal interview, essay, reference letters, extracurricular and leadership involvement. Billy Kirk Scholar Leaders will be selected from ethnic minority candidates. Finalists are required to live on campus and attend precollege sessions on campus during their senior year of high school and summer following. Separate application required.
A FAFSA must be submitted to be considered for the following awards.
Awarded to students with additional financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
International Student Scholarships
Awarded to students whose citizenship resides in countries other than the U.S. and is based on academic ability, financial need and the mission of the college to prepare students for service in their own country. A limited number of awards available and students must apply for admission by Feb. 1.
Lilly Endowment Recognition
Up to full coverage of room and board for four years awarded to Indiana Lilly Endowment Scholars who designate Bethel College.
Up to $4,000 per year awarded to students who intend to teach in a public or private school that serves low-income families. Separate application required.
