A basic knowledge of Bethel College is expected by all Campus Guides. Loyalty to the college and to the privacy of any information found in student files and student residences is also expected. Failure in this area could result in loss of the job.
Campus Guides will be expected to dress according to the dress code policy when working in the Admission Office.
Campus Guides are expected to report for work on their designated times and days. Tour Guides are responsible for finding their own replacement on days they will need to miss work.
The primary duty of each Campus Guide will be to give campus tours to visiting families and prospective students, but could also involve working in the office. Campus Guide participation will also be expected for occasional Saturday visits, Admission Overnighters and Preview Days. This includes hosting visitors, involvement in evening activities, and giving group campus tours. Campus Guides are also responsible for one follow up contact with each visitor.
All Campus Guides are expected to conduct themselves in a business-like manner. The Campus Guides must also be able to work well with others and possess a good customer service attitude when greeting prospects, parents, and pastors that may come into the office.
