Job Description

Serve as primary contact for all initial therapy referrals, scheduling and opening and closing of clients. Obtain referral information, gather pertinent data from clients and parents or guardian and coordinate needed documentation with providers. Obtain and coordinate referral information; work with insurance providers regarding client coverage and eligibility. Assist client and parent or guardian with scheduling external recommended appointments or referrals. Ability to triage clinical phone calls that suggest potential client risk situations. Monitor wait list, maintain clinical schedules, manage hold times, make reminder calls, send reminder letters, and route inquiries to appropriate contact. 

Complete some face-to-face history taking with children and their caregivers to complete new client enrollment. Ability to write clear, detailed messages from phone calls from clients; be able to ask caller for clarification on questions raised. Maintain knowledge of programs, policies and community resources and provide information to clients and the public as needed. Work with others on managing referrals from St. Paul Public Schools for evaluations, working with school contacts and parents. Manage program databases including wait lists, updating of CareLogic client information and HIPAA data entry, running queries and generating reports. Provide tracking, updates and information on referrals received, evaluations completed, referral sources, and other data related to clinical services.

Qualifications

 

A Bachelors in Psychology, Social Work or related field is required. A minimum of 2 years experience in social service/mental health field and experience required. Experience with Case Management and working in a social service setting is preferred.
