Make sure that you are using your correct username or password. If you use your Bethel network username/ password, make sure that that username/password combination is correct by logging into the Bethel e-mail system. Passwords are case-sensitive.
If you use your student ID barcode number (the 80000000012345 number found below the barcode) as your username/ password, make sure that you are using the correct barcode number and your last name as your password. Ex.:
The problem is probably a firewall issue.
If you are behind a corporate or institutional firewall, you will want to contact your systems adminstrator to open up ports so that our EZproxy software can work.
The port for https://bcezproxy.bethelcollege.edu is 443.
If you have Windows XP service pack 2, you will need to either disable the built-in firewall (Note: You may not want to do this if you want the protection that a firewall provides) or open up ports in the Windows firewall.

This article describes how to manually open ports in Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) in Windows XP.
Programs may require ports to be manually opened so that the programs work correctly when ICF is in use either on the local computer or on the gateway computer. You may have to manually open a port if there is a service that is running on a computer that has ICF enabled that you want to make available to users on the Internet.
To manually open a port, follow these steps:
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings.
Note If the Settings button is unavailable, ICF is not enabled on this connection, and you do not have to open any ports (because they are all already open).
