The World Christian Action Conference has come and gone, but its message remains clear as many students pursue obedience to God's call on their life. John Zumwalt, the conference's speaker from Heart of God Ministries, challenged the Bethel community to overcome fear with surrender and to follow God boldly.
Seminars and informational booths by mission agencies provided students with an opportunity to find their heart by seeking God's. Agencies from around the world were able to spark interest in those wanting to learn more and many were able to gain valuable contacts through the experience.
The variety of information available during the conference was greatly beneficial in showing students the many ways the skills they are currently studying can be used on the mission field. Opportunities include serving in such capacities as teacher or dorm parent at a school for missionary children, leading youth on short-term trip and Bible translation.
Student Body President Greg Anderson thought the conference was very beneficial, saying, "It stressed the importance of being open to all different kinds of ministry—whatever field God places you in."
