On Tuesday, October 12 at 6 p.m., an estimated 35 people, including members of the Bethel College Wrestling Team, staff and faculty, will depart from the college* and travel to the cities of storm-ravaged Sebring and Wauchula in central Florida to help with hurricane relief efforts. The volunteers will spend their fall break helping to repair roofs, remove trees and perform general cleanup tasks for the hurricane victims and their families.
The team will also be transporting non-perishable food items to the Florida hurricane victims. The food was collected by the Bethel chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (S.I.F.E.), who organized a small food drive during the college's recent Community Service Day.
Once in Florida, the team will transport the food to a local church, which will then distribute it to families in need.
