The Division of Nursing at Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN, has received full accreditation from the North Central Association (NCA) Higher Learning Commission for a new program that will prepare nurses to be nurse educators in nursing education settings or health care agencies. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program was initiated this fall with 15 nurses in the charter class.
Designed in a one-night-a-week format, the program can be completed while nurses are employed full time. The sequence of study spans five semesters and involves 36 credit hours of study. Bethel's MSN program also provides a foundation for doctoral studies in nursing.
Bethel College has over 200 nursing students this fall and their ADN and BSN programs have consecutively reported a 100% first time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). The Division of Nursing is currently accepting applications for the fall 2005 semester.
