Bethel College Places Third In Math Challenge

On November 6 the Bethel College math department entered two teams in the Michigan Autumn Take Home challenge (MATH) a regional collegiate mathematics competition.  The competition consisted of 39 teams from 16 colleges in the Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and other Midwest states.  The Bethel team of Chris Evans a senior from Nappanee, IN majoring in Math Education, Mike Imboden a junior from Marine City, MI majoring in engineering science, and Alex Robbins a senior from Osceola, IN majoring in engineering science, placed 3rd in the competition.  Top 5 schools in the competition included:

1.   Kalamazoo College

2.   Albion College

3.   Bethel College

4.   Calvin College

5.   Alma College
