0The Bethel College Genesians, a traveling drama troupe from Mishawaka, Indiana, will perform at Trinity Assembly of God in Lakeville at 10:30 a.m. on January 30, 2005.
The troupe will be performing The Complete History of the Old Testament in Twenty Minutes by Tom S. Long. This script is a hilarious retelling of the Old Testament in less than half an hour! Five actors will take on all the roles the first part of the Good Book has to offer. Amidst the laughs, this script serves as a great Bible review and offers a poignant message in the end, ideal for children, teens and adults.
Members of the troupe include Lindsey Hab, Lindsay McGee, Katie Nabors, Vicky Robins and Regina Warren. Andrew Dean and Curtis Jones are technical support members.
Brock Fisher is the newest member of Bethel College's theatre arts department and in his first year of directing the Genesians. Brock has directed both new and classic productions in collegiate, community and church-based venues. He is the assistant professor of theatre at Bethel and directs some of the main stage productions. Brock is currently putting the finishing touches on his dissertation in order to complete his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
The Genesians have performed almost 1,000 times in the United States and Canada since the troupe formed in 1965.
