Bethel College is offering a free band and orchestra concert at 7:30 p.m. on November 21 at the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The concert will provide a representation of classical music that spans from the Baroque period through the 20th Century.
The event serves as a recital for the members of each band and is an opportunity for people in the community to hear music performed by the students of Bethel College free of charge.
The concert, directed by Dr. Mike Kendall, will feature the college's Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra. Each ensemble will perform several selections that they have prepared throughout this semester. When asked about the concert, Dr. Kendall said, "Regardless of the audience members' musical tastes, they will find something in this program that is new, interesting and enjoyable," said Dr. Kendall. "The ensembles will perform music of various styles representing the Baroque, Romantic and Contemporary Periods of music."
The event is free of charge and tickets are not needed. For more information contact Sue Holmes in the fine arts division at (574) 257-3393.
