Bethel College Sends a Third Task Force Team to Aid Katrina Efforts

Bethel College is sending out a team of 28 students, 2 staff and faculty members and 1 parent to Pascagoula, Miss. over the college's spring break. Led by Christian Lehman, resident director and intramural director, the team will aid in relief efforts for the victims of Katrina. They will leave from the Bethel College administration building at approximately 2:45 p.m. February 27.

The team will help the Mississippi Community by installing dry wall and possibly painting homes affected by the flood of Katrina. It might have some painting if any. "This task force will be different from the others in that we are primarily helping with house repair as opposed to clean-up," said Lehman.

The first task force team went to Pascagoula in October and cleaned up garbage and debris and ripped out moldy dry wall and insulation in homes. The second task force team went to Pascagoula in January and continued cleaning walls and started installing insulation and dry wall.
