On Friday, June 1, 2007, Bethel College, in partnership with the regional Chambers of Commerce, The South Bend Tribune and The Truth, will recognize 40 local business and professional leaders who have achieved distinguished success before the age of 40. People nominated have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication in pursuing their careers; invested themselves in others through their involvement in civic, charitable and/or religious organizations and are younger than the age 40 as of the June 1, 2007, recognition luncheon date. The luncheon begins at 12:00 p.m.
“Bethel College is proud to be a part of this endeavor by recognizing these individuals who have achieved success in their careers and who give back to their community,” said Dr. Pete L. McCown, vice president of institutional advancement and chair of “Forty Under 40”.

Bethel College is an accredited Christian college of the arts and sciences offering associates, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in more than 50 areas of study. The current enrollment of more than 2,081 includes students from 29 states and Puerto Rico, 21 countries, more than 25 denominational affiliations and 16 percent from culturally diverse backgrounds.
