Discover Nursing Summer Camps At Bethel College
By Public Relations
June 01, 2007
Bethel College is the host site for one of eight “Discover
Nursing Summer Camps” for high school students sponsored by the Northwest Indiana Area
Center and Nursing 2000 North.
Student participants will have a
two-day college campus experience introducing them to campus life and teaching
them hands-on skills in the nursing center. The last two days of camp will take
place in a hospital setting. This will allow students to be introduced to the
diverse scope of health care professionals. They will also have the opportunity
to interact with nurses practicing in a non-clinical setting. The camps are
intended to encourage students to pursue nursing, other related healthcare
careers and help reduce the shortage of healthcare providers in Indiana. The students
will receive supplies to assist in their on-campus and hospital learning
