Bethel College will host one of eight "Discover Nursing Summer Camps" for high school students, June 23-26. The camps are sponsored by Nursing 2000 in collaboration with St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend.
Student participants will have a two-day college campus experience introducing them to campus life and teaching them hands-on skills in the nursing center. The last two days of camp will take place in a hospital setting. This will allow students to be introduced to the diverse scope of health care professionals. They will also have the opportunity to interact with nurses practicing in a non-clinical setting. The camps are intended to encourage students to pursue nursing, other related healthcare careers and help reduce the shortage of healthcare providers in Indiana. The students will receive supplies to assist in their on-campus and hospital learning experience.
For more information and to register, call Dr. S Kim Genovese, executive director Nursing 2000 Northern Indiana Region at 219.326.2344, or e-mail email@example.com. Class size is limited.
