There will be a new volleyball uniform circulating in gyms throughout the Mid-Central College Conference this October, and it will be hard to miss. Bethel College, along with the other eight MCC volleyball teams, has teamed up with the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer to form a Pink Out — a sports competition to benefit a great cause.
At each of the designated Pink Out nights, both teams will be sporting a custom-designed pink jersey, coaches will be clad in pink and pink will even be the color of the night for the officials. With the price of admission, all fans will also receive a pink T-shirt highlighting the MCC’s support of breast cancer research. All proceeds collected at the gate for each of the events will be donated directly to the Vera Bradley Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research.
Last year, an impressive 85 cents of every dollar donated to the Foundation went straight to funding breast cancer research. The final amount raised from all nine Pink Out matches will be announced at the MCC conference championship match on Saturday, Nov. 15.
