Bethel will host the second lecture in the Colloquia Lecture Series this semester on Thursday, Mar. 31 at 3:30 p.m. in the Academic Center at Bethel College, room 342.
Suzanne Mauro, M.F.A., associate faculty in art, will speak on “From the Physical to the Spiritual: Transformation through the Creative Process.” One of her goals as an artist has been to make objects out of clay that fill the viewer with a sense of awe and wonder. In this colloquium, she will address her past work, her current and explain her method of slip-casting fabric. Her goal is to provide insight to how an artist can develop a relationship with God through the creative process; a process that she realizes has been transformative.
