The Bethel College Chapel Band recently released their newest album, “Love Came Down.” The band’s leader and Bethel’s vice president for student development, Shawn Holtgren, Ph.D. (’95), says the album was inspired by the band’s desire to capture the spirit of Bethel’s chapel experience, which occurs three times a week.
The album includes a unique mix of songs that are all meaningful to the Bethel community in one way or another, including well-known choruses, a hymn arrangement of “The Solid Rock,” and some new, fresh songs that will inspire the listener. The album includes the following songs and several others: “Lord Almighty,” “The Greatness of Our God,” “Father Will You Come,” “Relentless,” “Send Me Out” and “Forever Reign.”
“This album, unlike its predecessor “Amazed,” features live worship with the assistance of additional microphones in the audience in order to better capture the voices of the Bethel community,” says Holtgren.
The CD is available for $10 at the Bethel Bookstore, in the student development office, and online at the Bethel College Chapel Band website, as well as iTunes.
