Several Bethel College alumni will hold a recital in honor of Associate Professor of Music and Artist-in-Residence Victoria Garrett on Saturday, April 13, at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 410 Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, Ind. This concert is to celebrate Garrett’s “retirement diminuendo.” She will be decreasing her teaching hours next fall.
Former students of Garrett’s, Jessica (Hanel) Satava (’01) and Jared Schwartz (’04), are coordinating this concert which will include a total of 13 of Garret’s former students from across the country singing and sharing stories about the music and life lessons they learned from Garrett.
“Vicky isn't simply a voice teacher, she has been and continues to be a mother to us all. It will be a very special night of song and sharing from some talented singers honoring an incredible teacher.” says Schwartz.
This event is free and open to the public.
