Bethel Presents Annual Choral Showcase with Two Special Guests

Bethel College will present its annual end-of-the-year choral showcase featuring Music Ministry Teams, The Collegians, Voices Of Triumph, Concert Choir and two special guests — Bethel’s President Steven R. Cramer, Ph.D., (’75) and the hand bell choir from St. Paul’s Retirement Community. The event takes place Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium, with a 7:15 p.m. prelude concert by the hand bell choir.

Bob Ham is the director of the Concert Choir and Voices Of Triumph, while Jill Hostetler is the director of the Music Ministry Teams and The Collegians. Each group will perform pieces that reflect their goals and personalities.

The choral showcase performers will be joined by the hand bell choir from St. Paul’s Retirement Community. This choir of seniors has attended many of the musical performances given by Bethel College, and now they have an opportunity to be part of this special performance. Cramer will also join the night’s performances as the guest director for a piece performed by the Concert Choir in honor of his retirement.

“I am excited for this opportunity to have the choir sing under his direction,” says Ham.

Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Bethel College department of music at 574.807.7575.
