Bethel College will host a fundraiser to benefit victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. The Walk for Boston will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 at the Bethel College outdoor track and will end Wednesday, May 1 with a closing ceremony at 12 p.m. noon.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to participate by making a $10 donation and walking or running around the track for any amount of time.
The idea came about when track team members Betty Graber (’15) and Marissa Watts (’15) approached Track Coach Tony Natali. “They felt moved by what had happened in Boston and wanted to help in some way,” said Natali. After doing some brainstorming with a group of students, they decided to have a fundraiser similar to a Relay for Life event.
