Bethel Professor, Deaf Storyteller to Perform at Michiana Deaf Alliance Fundraiser

Noah Buchholz, assistant professor of American Sign Language at Bethel College, will perform stories and poetry at a fundraiser for the Michiana Deaf Alliance on Feb. 18 at 3 p.m., in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium on Bethel’s campus. A Valentine’s party will follow at 4:30 p.m., with a hot soup buffet and sweets.

Bethel Offers Assistance to Displaced Saint Joseph’s College Students

Bethel is offering assistance to displaced students from Saint Joseph’s College, who announced recently that it will suspend operations at the end of the current semester. Approximately 900 students are affected and have begun the process of searching for an institution where they can complete their academic career.

Bethel Celebrates Completion of Weaver Art Gallery Renovations

The Bethel College Department of Art is hosting two receptions to reveal the newly renovated Weaver Art Gallery, in conjunction with the opening of the 10th Annual Juried Student Art Show. The receptions will be held on Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center.

Bethel Partners with Indiana Wesleyan to Create 4-1 International Health Program

Bethel College has entered into an agreement with Indiana Wesleyan University to provide a 4-1 program in international health. Students can earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in just five years by beginning the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at IWU during their senior year in Bethel’s International Health program.

Bethel Athletics is pleased to announce that their traditional coed cheerleading program, which has served as a valuable member of the Bethel College Athletic Department, will be taking a step forward into the realm of competitive cheer. BC's current cheer coach, Alyssa Howell, will guide the program through the transition.

Three Rugby Players Selected for National Team Identification Camp

Three Bethel rugby players were among 57 student-athletes invited by USA Rugby to attend the AIG Men's Collegiate All-Americans identification camp.

Employer registration open for annual career and internship fair

Employer registration is now open for the Bethel College career and internship fair, to be held Wednesday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on Bethel’s campus. Registration is free and open to employers seeking to fill internships and salaried positions.

Bethel and WorkOne Offer Hospitality and Tourism Training Program

Bethel College and WorkOne are partnering to offer a new session of their successful Hospitality and Tourism Training Program. The session will begin on Jan. 23 and run through Feb. 10 with classes at the WorkOne office on Marietta Street in South Bend. WorkOne covers the cost of the training for all participants.
