Free Leadership Event for High School Students

Bethel College will be a host site for high school students to attend the nationally simulcast leadership event, Lead USA. The event will be Fri., May 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium. Admission is free, and lunch can be purchased for $5 at the door.

Tyler Begins as Bethel College Director of Admissions

Bethel College is pleased to announce Jill Tyler as the new Director of Admissions for the traditional admissions office. Tyler will oversee all traditional admissions recruitment efforts and began in her role on May 1.

Local Colleges Host Information Day for Hispanic Students

On Tues., May 9, Bethel College will host Hispanic Day for local Hispanic high school students. The event is a partnership between Bethel and Ancilla College, Goshen College, Holy Cross College, Indiana University South Bend, Ivy Tech College, and Saint Mary’s College.

Students from Grissom Middle School will be exhibiting their artwork in the Great Hall of the Bethel College Weaver Art Gallery.

Registration Open for Kindergarten Lab at Bethel College

The Bethel College kindergarten lab (LabK), a partnership between the college and School City of Mishawaka (SCM), is accepting registrations for the 2017-18 school year. This is a tuition-free public school program and is open to kindergarteners from any Indiana school district.

Bethel College Celebrates 70th Commencement Exercises

On Saturday, April 29, Bethel College will celebrate its 70th annual commencement exercises with approximately 450 students planning to participate. Commencement for adult programs, organizational management, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) completion will take place at 10 a.m. Traditional undergraduate and graduate programs commencement will be held at 5 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place in the Wiekamp Athletic Center and will be live-streamed on the college’s website, BethelCollege.edu.

Bethel College 2017 Commencement Speakers

Bethel College is pleased to announce three featured speakers for its 70th annual commencement exercises. Editorial cartoonist Gary Varvel, local entrepreneur Don Clark, and 1949 graduate Virginia Krake will speak at both commencement ceremonies, which will take place in the Wiekamp Athletic Center, Saturday, April 29. The 10 a.m. commencement includes adult programs, organizational management, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion and graduate programs. The 5 p.m. commencement includes all traditional undergraduate programs and Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Hoosier Tire Partners with Bethel for Annual Golf Outing

Bethel Athletics is proud to announce that Hoosier Tire will be the naming sponsor of the 2017 Hoosier Tire Bethel Athletics Golf Outing. This summer marks the 25th annual outing that helps support the efforts of the Bethel Athletic Department.

Bethel College Seeks Public Comments for 2017 HLC Accreditation

Bethel College is seeking comments from the public about the college, in preparation for its 10-year re-evaluation by the Higher Learning Commission. Accreditation is a voluntary, peer review process that evaluates an institution’s ability to meet educational standards. Bethel College has been accredited by the Commission since 1971.

Bethel College Music Department Presents Voices of Triumph in Concert

The Bethel College Music Department presents Voices of Triumph in their annual presentation of a cappella choral music for chamber choir. The concert will be on Friday, April 28, 8 p.m. at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, Ind. Admission is free.
