The Theatre Department presents Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol,” adapted by Jaqueline Goldfinger. Performances are Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Former Bethel College President, James Bennett, Dies at age 78

Bethel’s fourth president (1982-1988), the Rev. James “Jim” A. Bennett, Ph.D., of Elkhart, Ind., passed away yesterday afternoon, Oct. 8, after years of declining health. He was 78 years old. Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 12 in the Weaver Rotunda of the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium on Bethel’s campus.

Michiana Down Syndrome to Hold Festival/Walk at Bethel College

Michiana Down Syndrome (MDS) will be hosting its annual walk and festival at Bethel College on Oct. 10, 2015. The doors will open for registration in the Wiekamp Athletic Center at 9:30 a.m., where participants can enjoy a silent auction, games, raffles, vendor tables, door prizes, and professional face painting, before the walk begins at 12:30 p.m.

Bethel Faculty Showcased in Elkhart’s Midwest Museum of American Art

The work of Katharine Schmidt, assistant professor and chair of the visual art department; Suzanne Mauro, assistant professor of ceramics; and Jeffrey Combs, adjunct professor of 2D design and digital photography, was selected from among more than 400 submissions to be featured along with 207 pieces in Midwest Museum of Art's 37th Elkhart Juried Regional Art Exhibition. Their artwork will be showcased from Oct. 9 to Dec. 6.

Bethel College Selected from Among Thousands as a Best Value School Award Recipient

Bethel College has been selected out of nearly 8,000 postsecondary schools as the recipient of a Best Value School award. The award is issued by University Research and Review (URR), a company dedicated to improving the process of how a student selects a postsecondary school.

Bethel Community Offers Helping Hands to 60 Local Organizations

Nearly 900 students, plus faculty and staff members, will serve 60 locations in the community as part of the college's 27th annual service day.

Bethel Participating in College GO! Week

Bethel College is participating in the state’s annual College GO! Week Sept. 21-25. During College GO! Week, every high school in Indiana is asked to prepare their students for college and careers through a variety of events and activities.
